Xin-Yi (Vincent) Zhou is an experienced intellectual property litigator. Vincent focuses his practice on representing technology companies in high-stakes, complex cases involving electronics, semiconductor, telecommunications, and software technologies. Before attending law school, Vincent worked as an engineer for AMD and eSilicon Corporation on a wide range of technologies, including microprocessor design, flash memory device architecture, semiconductor processing, and ASIC integration.
Vincent’s engineering background gives him unique insight into the intellectual property field. He is fully aware of the extensive work and capital that goes into product research and development and he is committed to protecting the technologies of his clients. Vincent uses his technical background and litigation experience to assist clients in all phases of intellectual property disputes in a variety of forums, including district courts in California, Texas, and Delaware, the U.S. International Trade Commission, and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

U.S. International Trade Commission Matters (Section 337 Investigations)
- Defended international consumer electronics company in an ITC investigation on patents relating to semiconductor wafer-level packaging; the parties reached a favorable settlement after we successfully obtained a dismissal of the ITC investigation
Patent Trial and Appeal Board Matters
- Represented global microprocessor manufacturer in over 30 Inter Partes Review proceedings challenging the validity of patents relating to microprocessor design and semiconductor fabrication technologies
