O’Melveny Successfully Represents Greenburgh Nature Center Against Real Estate Developer

O’Melveny represented the Greenburgh Nature Center, a 33-acre nature preserve in Westchester, NY, in defense of a multi-million dollar lawsuit brought by a real estate developer in the Southern District of New York. The Greenburgh Nature Center aims to be a regional leader for environmental education and best sustainable practices, helping people live in harmony with nature and adapt to a changing environment.

The complaint against the Nature Center claimed that its opposition to the developer’s plan to build a dense apartment complex at its doorstep violated the Fair Housing Act. O’Melveny quickly obtained the dismissal of all claims brought against the Nature Center and later assisted the Nature Center in responding to third-party discovery in the lawsuit.
