O’Melveny Welcomes Esteemed Dallas Real Estate Lawyer Kyle Davis

DALLAS—January 23, 2025—O’Melveny announced today that esteemed real estate lawyer Kyle Davis has joined the firm’s Dallas office as a partner in the Project Development & Real Estate Practice Group. Her arrival further strengthens O’Melveny’s nationwide real estate finance and development capabilities at a time when client demand for sophisticated real estate counsel has never been higher.
Davis brings nearly 15 years of experience and a broad-based practice to O’Melveny. She advises banks, insurance companies, developers, and institutional borrowers and lenders on a vast array of real estate matters, including property acquisitions and dispositions, commercial construction and term loans, development projects, joint ventures, leasing, and asset management. Her work spans a wide range of asset classes—from industrial parks, office buildings, and retail shopping centers to senior healthcare facilities and multifamily, condominium, and mixed-use projects.
Named one of the “Best Lawyers in Dallas Under 40” by D Magazine, Davis is recognized as a next-generation leader in the real estate sector. She is a member of the Texas Real Estate Council and CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women). She comes to O’Melveny from the Dallas office of Locke Lord (now Troutman Pepper Locke), where she served on that firm’s Board of Directors and was a member of the Real Estate and Finance Practice Group.
Davis’s addition accelerates the strategic growth of O’Melveny’s Real Estate team. She is the sixth real estate partner to join O’Melveny since 2020, bolstering the breadth and depth of the practice and extending the team’s footprint into Texas—home to three of the ten most active commercial real estate markets in the US.

Davis’s arrival further propels O’Melveny’s rapid expansion in Texas and around the world. Since 2021, the firm has added nearly 80 lawyers—including 29 partners—across its three Texas offices. Firmwide, Davis is the 28th lateral partner to join O’Melveny since 2023, including 18 corporate partners based in the firm’s Dallas, Houston, Singapore, London, New York, Los Angeles, and Century City offices.
Davis earned her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law and her B.A. from Vanderbilt University. She is a fellow of the J.L. Turner Legal Association, a nonprofit that funds legal scholarships for Black lawyers and law students in Dallas-Fort Worth, and she serves on the Board of Directors of the Dallas Black Dance Theater and on the Board of Governors of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
