Her practice focuses primarily on complex commercial licensing arrangements, with expertise in the use of intellectual property rights in connection with content exploitation, theme parks and other location-based entertainment venues, sports and other live events, as well as marketing campaigns and unique branding initiatives.
Syrkin, who serves as co-chair of O’Melveny’s MediaTech Group, delivers business and strategic legal counsel, structuring commercial and corporate transactions at the cutting-edge of technology, advertising, media, entertainment, sports, retail products, and financial services. His industry experience, versatility, and business acumen make him a trusted advisor to global companies, start-ups, professional sports teams, and international ventures negotiating innovative deals and future-proofing their businesses.
Vannini advises public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions, securities, and general corporate matters, including corporate governance, both in and out of the entertainment industry. She regularly represents private equity funds, domestic and foreign companies, motion picture studios, television networks, as well as entrepreneurial clients on a wide range of corporate transactions, including company formation and structuring, acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, strategic alliances, financings, and dispositions.
Cervantes de Reinstein is a distinguished deal lawyer and business strategist in the media sector. He leverages his nearly 30 years as an M&A and finance attorney, talent representative and studio executive to counsel major studios, banks, financiers, streamers and content owners holistically on intricate corporate and IP-driven transactions. Recently, he negotiated one of the largest TV and streaming partnerships in Hollywood history and represented a private equity fund backing the merger of two global distribution services behemoths.
