O’Melveny & Myers LLP was featured in The American Lawyer’s October 17 edition of its Litigator of the Week “Runners-Up and Shout-Outs” column. The publication highlighted the O’Melveny team that represented hundreds of low-income Palm Springs, California families displaced from their homes in the 1950s and 1960s. The O’Melveny team—working alongside the incomparable Areva Martin—met the moment, balancing legal skills and advocacy to deliver a precedent-setting result that will stand as a model for reconciliation-driven litigation nationwide.” The O’Melveny team advising Palm Springs Section 14 Survivors Inc. also included David Lash, the firm’s managing counsel for pro bono and public interest services; of counsel Charlie Lifland; counsel Sarah Higgins, Redwan Saleh, Chani Gatto-Bradshaw; and associate Hattie McKinney.
