IEL: 77th Annual Energy Law Conference
February 26, 2026
O’Melveny partner Dawn Sestito and partner-elect Heather Welles will be guest speakers at the 2026 Energy Law Conference hosted by the Institute of Energy Law, while partner Meghan McElvy will serve as the conference Co-Chair for the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Module. The event aims to bring together in-house leaders, experienced energy attorneys in private practice, government attorneys, landmen, non-legal energy professionals, and young energy professionals, for an educational program covering oil, gas, and renewables sectors of the energy industry.
Sestito will moderate a group of panelists on Climate Change Litigation, utilizing her deep knowledge of environmental matters, including litigation, regulatory, and administrative proceedings, which have helped her guide some of the world’s largest companies through sensitive issues.
Welles’s practice pairs litigation and appellate success at the highest levels with substantive expertise in water, a field of growing importance to even the largest companies. She will join a panel discussing current produced water litigation along with current challenges, uses, and solutions related to produced water.
